Where is summer?
You know that feeling, the one you get in nightmares when you try to run but your feet weigh two hundred pounds each? You try to speak, but only colors or crude gibbering comes out of your mouth. I feel that way all the time.

What nobody tells you
What nobody tells you is that life requires everything you've got. You will exhaust every reserve. You don't get to hold anything back; it takes it all. Which makes sense, in a way , because everything you've got is on loan. Do you really own anything? You've got the use of things, the illusion of control. But this idea you had that someday you'd be "set". Ain't going to happen. Even Paris Hilton has problems. Think about that, ye mighty, and despair! Don't know why, but this thought was my first of the day - that life takes everything you've got-- not about Paris Hilton.

The band's numerous fans, called Deadheads, were renowned for their dedication to the band's music; many followed the Grateful Dead from concert to concert for years, and often referred to the band simply as The Dead. more...
